Free setup guidance and support for Ring, eufy, Tapo, Reolink and Google Nest smart home devices bought at Security King Homes.
Setup support is free. Devices are designed for simple DIY setup through each brand's app — we help you get there.
General setup steps (most devices).
- Charge or power the device and place it where you want it.
- Download the brand's app (Ring, eufy Security, Tapo, Reolink, Google Home) and create or sign in to an account.
- In the app, tap "Add Device" and follow the on-screen pairing steps (usually: scan the QR code / enter the pairing code, connect to your Wi-Fi).
- Mount or install per the manufacturer's guide — included in the box.
- Test motion detection, alerts and viewing from your phone.

- Which camera should cover which area (indoors, door, yard, driveway)
- Wi-Fi coverage and where to place a router or mesh system
- Smart lock: keys, codes, fingerprints and temporary access
- Sensor placement (doors, windows, motion, water leak detectors near sinks/washing machines)
- Factory reset before selling or returning a device
- What each brand's free tier includes vs. what needs a subscription
Troubleshooting quick list.
- Device offline → check Wi-Fi, restart the device, confirm it is within range.
- Weak signal → move the router closer or add a mesh/Wi-Fi extender.
- Not detecting motion → check placement, sensitivity settings in the app, and battery/firmware.
- App issues → update the app and device firmware to the latest version.
